Nick Atlas, Ph.D. (ABD) is a transformative educator, therapist, meditation teacher, scholar and lifelong explorer of consciousness. The Director of Evolutionary Education®, Yoga Sleep Therapy® and advanced 200 & 300-hour Yoga Psychology Teacher Trainings, Nick is also an accomplished artist, athlete, musician, world-traveler, and forthcoming author. He currently teaches Psychology at the University of West Georgia, conducts pioneering research on lucid dreaming, and inspires the next generation of dreamers to realize their maximum potential. An engaged and compassionate listener, Nick’s private practice specializes in multidimensional approaches to health and wellness, including yoga nidra, mindfulness, ecotherapy, dreamwork and expressive arts in addition to more conventional “talk” methods. People often come to Nick for deep emotional release, grieving, relaxation, stress-reduction and stress-related insomnia, as well as for spiritual guidance and yoga instruction. Praised by his students and clients for the accessibility, empathy, joy and light-heartedness he exudes and draws out in others, Nick works one-on-one with individuals, couples and small groups and facilitates a variety of workshops, retreats and speaking engagements internationally at studios, conferences, corporate events, festivals & resorts. Additionally, he has taught at the Omega Institute, Kripalu Center, and Canyon Ranch, and is a frequent contributor to Yoganonymous and Elephant Journal. A disciplined meditation practitioner since 1998, through the years he has served as a faculty assistant to some of the world's foremost spiritual teachers and, in particular, is proud to honor the work of his mentors Toni Bergins, Ken Cohen, Roger Jahnke, Jack Kornfield, Bobby McFerrin, Richard Miller, Elisa Novick, Stephen Spyrit, Swami Vivekananda Saraswati and Paulie Zink.
