Hatha and Astanga Yoga Teachers Training Course
(200 Hours, Level 1) and (300 Hours Level 2)

Note- To attend the level 2 course, Student has to be completed their level 1 course from our Yoga School or any other Yoga Alliance registered School.

Duration: One-month Residential Course in Ashram

Dates: 1st March to 1 April 2020

Course Content:
Introduction-History of Yoga, Vedic Yoga Period, Pre-Classical Yoga Period, Classical Yoga Period, Post-Classical Yoga Period, Art of Teaching-Yoga Teacher Roles and Responsibilities, Art of Alignment, Surya Namaskara (Sun Salutation), Standing Postures, Sitting Postures, supine and Postures, Astanga Primary series, Pranayama (Breathing Exercise), Meditation, Mudra, Shat Kriyas, Yoga and Pregnancy, Basic Introduction to Ayurveda and Panchakarma, Food and Diet, Basic Anatomy, Philosophy, Introduction to Bhagavad Gita and Patanjali Yoga Sutras, Daily Chanting, Yogic General knowledge/ Basic Sanskrit Words,

*Advance Yoga poses, advance pranayama, Astanga intermediate series for Level 2 students.
*Please note, Level 2 students should have practiced Astanga Primary series previously before practicing Astanga intermediate series.

Certificate:An internationally recognized certificate from the Soham Ayur Yoga Ashram is awarded on successful completion of the course.
The diploma is entitled ‘Yoga Sadhaka ’ for Level 1 and 'Yoga Shikshaka' for Level 2 .The course is officially recognized by the Yoga Alliance for the 200 hours and 300 hours Registered Yoga School Standards and Accredited by NSDC, Government of India and Shobith University, India

Extra sessions like Angamardhana, Flexibility, Strengthening and First aid courses will be conducted by invited guest masters.

Karma yoga:
Karma yoga is the practice of selfless service which helps guests to feel part of the ashram. You are expected to do up to one hour of selfless service per day within ashram.

Brunch/Dinner:
Simple satvic vegetarian food is provided freely for all students. The food menu is standardized and students will be provided with 2 meals every day. The food served is mainly rice, vegetable, dal, curries, fruits, cereals and nutritional keeping in mind the requirements of the student’s yoga sadhana. All meals will be served in the Dining Hall only and students will not be allowed to eat in the rooms.
Students are strictly not allowed to bring outside food/snacks into ashram.

Travel:
Visa and International traveling arrangements, local transport should be done by students itself, but if you needed any assistance our authorized travel agent Travel plus will be available for your service. Contact us for more details. Pick up and drop facility from the airport to Soham Ayur Yoga Ashram will be arranged for the students on additional charges. For local travel needs please contact us.

Accommodation:
1. Free Accommodation is provided for all students.*
2. Dormitory is the only main accommodation available. It is very basic and simple and clean with shared bathrooms.
3. Separate dormitory space for men and ladies. Couples are not allowed to share rooms during the course.
4. Bathroom facilities are with cold water only.
5. Two sheets, a pillow, pillowcases, and mosquito net are provided.
6. Students should bring their own blankets

For Level 2
For Indians- Rs.60000
Overseas students - 2000 US $

Important Note:
Please remember this is not a resort or hotel, It’s a discipline and simple Yoga Ashram. To maintain the spiritual atmosphere, we ask all ashram guests to comply with the ashram rules. Kindly refer to the Ashram rules and guidelines for more information before taking admission. The ashram reserves the right of admission and students may be asked to leave if their behavior goes against the ashrams rules and teachings. Dates and donations are subject to change without notice.

Refund Policy:
If you cancel your registration before the start of the course, we will refund your original payment less an administration fee of US $250 for Overseas student and 10000 Rs for Indian students. For a no show, no refund will be issued. Students leaving the course before completion are required to return all teaching materials and uniforms.

What to bring:
Comfortable clothes, blanket, sandals, toiletries, personal items, meditation shawl for cool evenings, yoga asana mat, meditation cushion, notebooks, pens, towels and a torch. These items can usually be purchased in our “Soham Divine Store” ashram boutique or online store. We will provide you two sets of uniforms and a TTC Manual are included in the course donation.

Passport/Visa:
Foreign Nationals are required to bring their original passport with a valid visa for India and visa should be valid for the full duration of the course.
