Exploring the mountainous north of the “land of smiles” is an exquisitely gentle way to journey afar and expand the horizons of your experience, while holding a space for deep nurturing and connection.
Thailand carries the long tradition of Theravada Buddhism. Specific to Northern Thailand is the Forest Tradition. We connect with this energy through meeting with monks, visiting temples and practicing mindfulness meditation. We will cultivate this mindfulness into everyday life, particularly as we connect joyfully and respectfully with forests and nature.
Your guides, Therese & Etai of Loving Life On The Road, are intimate with the destination and will guide you to beautiful nature spots including hot-springs and waterfalls, introduce you to the delights of Thai cuisine (we are both vegan), connect you with inspiring people, and provide deeply rejuvenating therapies, experiences and leisure time. In addition to the activities detailed in the itinerary we will hold space for group meditation, ceremony and sharing.

DAILY YOGA &/ MEDITATION
The foundations of the daily yoga practice come from the Sivananda Tradition. This traditional form of Hatha Yoga includes pranayama, sun salutations, warm ups, a series of “basic” postures, chanting and plenty of relaxation. After following this practice for a week you will have a good foundation for you personal practice as you journey onwards. If you already have a strong individual practice, you have the opportunity to deepen and develop your practice.
In addition to this foundational practice, we will do other practices depending on individual needs and group dynamics. This may include restorative yoga, yoga flows and meditation practices such as mindfulness, lovingkindness, earth healing, heart centering, body awareness, chanting, laughter, eye gazing, dancing and music meditation.
