The workshop will begin with simple meditation and we will go through the options for the Sun salutes.
I will lead you through 9 sets of Surya Namaskar A ,the first sun salutation in the Ashtanga don’t need to do Chaturanga each time if you don’t want to. The idea is that the repetition takes you into a deeper state of meditation, connecting on a deeper level with the breath and finding that space between the thoughts – as well as being the obvious physical challenge.
Once the Salutations are completed and depending on the amount of time we have I transition the group to seated and do some wrist stretches, easy forward folds and twists.(having just done 216 forward fold we will need this!) The final wave of the practice is lying back where we do gentle supine twists and supine child’s pose to relieve any tension in the low back. Keeping a strong core for 108 salutations is challenging for everyone.
We will end with a well deserved Savasana followed by Fresh Wake up & go pure juice.
