Part 1: Retreat in Tuscany – Food & Wine, History and Culture – Embracing the Senses
9/19/18 Day 1– Arrival in FLR to Agriturismo La Pineta
Welcome to Italy! If you arrive in the early part of the day you can explore Florence and when everyone is settled into the beautiful farm house known as Agriturismo La Pineta, the retreat leader we will do an overview of the days ahead, answer questions and then we will have dinner with amazing fresh local ingredients at Agriturismo La Pineta! Read about Agriturismo La Pineta at

9/20/18 Day 2 – Agriturismo La Pineta to San Miniato and Vinci Castle
In the morning we will tour the farm, vineyards and beautiful landscape of Tuscany. After breakfast, we will visit San Miniato which sits high in the hills with beauty and calls you to visit it’s historic and enchanting city center. This will give you the perfect opportunity to stretch your legs, and be in nature while admiring some beautiful panoramic views between Pisa and Florence and thePalazzo dei Vicari dell’Imperatore and also includes an ancient tower, the oldest of the original fortifications left standing in the city of San Miniato. Afternoon Vinci Castle “The village is something of a 'pilgrimage' destination for da Vinci enthusiasts from all around the world and can get very busy”

9/21/18 Day 3 – Agriturismo La Pineta to Lucca and Grotta Giusti
After breakfast we will visit Lucca which is one of Tuscany's most charming towns. There are striking Gothic churches to explore, 15th century walls that surround the city, and narrow cobblestone streets and piazzas to wander. In the afternoon - Grotta Giusti Spa (includes Aqua & Relaxation Package (entrance in the thermal pool and thermal stream bath in the Grotta for 50 minutes) This is a place for those who wish to treat themselves and deeply relax the body. Evening - Cooking Class at Agriturismo La Pineta with an Italian Chef.

9/22/18 Day 4 – Agriturismo La Pineta and Pistoia
 After breakfast we will visit Pistoia. On Saturday mornings there is a market that transforms Pistoia's main square, Piazza del Duomo, and its neighboring streets, into a "lively sea of blue awnings and jostling shoppers." From there we will visit The Zoological Garden of Pistoia which is a park with over 400 animals. Due to the size and importance of the teaching and conservation of animal species, the park is one of the main structures of this kind in Italy. We will return to Agriturismo La Pineta for Dinner. 

Part 2: Tour of  Eco Villages and Sustainable Vibrant Communities North and South of Tuscany – Nature and Truth
9/23/18 Day 5 - Travel to Bassanine (2.5 Hours)
After breakfast we will make the beautiful drive North of Tuscany to Bassanine. On the way we will make a quick stop in Viareggio (Pearl of the Tyrrhenian Sea) and Forte Dei Marmi which has the beauty of the sea and the background of Alps Apuane. In the evening we will visit Cremona or Piacenza and have dinner. Learn more about the farmhouse in the Verdi lands (Bassanine) at 

9/24/18 Day 6 - Bassanine and Lumen Ecovillage
After breakfast we will travel the short distance to Lumen Eco Village and spend the day with them and explore what they offer. They are an academy to learn how to live in balance with the Nature and with ourselves. They will provide lunch which will be our included meal of the day and we will learn their style of Yoga and sustainable living at their farm house surrounded by green countryside and a few steps from the river Po. 9/25/18 Day 7 – Travel from Bassanine to Grosseto – Nomadelfia (4 Hours)

After breakfast we will make a day of travel as we drive to Grosseto and Nomadelfia where you are in for a treat.

On the way to Grosseto, we will visit Bologna or Siena to explore what either city has to offer and stretch our legs a bit. Bologna is a foodie hub and Siena is a lovely medieval city.  Both cities are full of beauty

9/26/18 Day 8 – Day in Grosseto - Nomadelfia
Today will be an opportunity to spend a day immersed in the spirit of the first Christian communities. Including hospitality, lunch with the community, a tour, and meetings with the families, young people. Learn more about this incredible new civilization where all goods are shared, there is no private property or money and no compensation. There are no employees or employers and repetitive or heavy work is done together. School is mandatory and located within the community at #services. We may decide to spend some time exploring the local area of Grosseto if time allows.

 Part 3: Tour of Florence and Art, Culture, Food and Spirituality - The Art of Yoga in Italy
9/27/18 Day 9 – Return to Agristurismo La Pineta (2 hours)
After breakfast and on the way to La Pineta: we will visit San Vincenzo which is on the "Etruscan Coast" of Tuscany, in the area known as the Maremma. That afternoon, we will travel from Agristurismo La Pineta Day trip (train) to Florence and enjoy a walking tour with a local professional tour guide and friend. We can ask questions and the guide will share their unique knowledge of Florence. We will visit places like, The Pointe Vecchio (old bridge), Duomo, Florence’s Cathedral and ideally finish the evening with a climb to the top of the catedral’s dome to enjoy an extraordinary view of Florence. Lot’s of steps!

9/28/18 Day 10 – From Agristurismo La Pineta Day trip (train) to Florence
This is museum day in Florence. We will visit The Magnificent Uffizi Gallery one of the world's top art museums, the Uffizi Gallery houses some of the most important works of the Renaissance, including works by Leonardo da Vinci, Giotto, Botticelli and Michelangelo and a large collection of Greek and Roman sculptures. We will also visit The Accademia Gallery which houses Michelangelo's David, easily the most famous sculpture in the world. Once inside, you'll also see Michelangelo's unfinished and powerful Prisoners, along with works by Perugino, Giambologna, Botticelli and Alessandro Allori.

9/29/18 Day 11 – The day of following your heart and divine flow.
This day is left open for a free day or a impromptu day for the group. Following our hearts and the divine flow! If there is anything left in Florence to explore (there will be!) such as two indoor markets: il Mercato Centrale di San Lorenzo  San Lorenzo is housed in a huge two-story building with fruit and vegetables on top and everything else on the bottom. Leather goods are sold from the surrounding outdoor kiosks, which can be a little overwhelming but there are some great deals too and il Mercato di Sant’Ambrogio  Sant’Ambrogio is smaller and much less touristy. There are restaurant stalls inside that serve wonderful food.

9/30/2018: Day 12 - The last day!
We will have breakfast, a closing circle, group photo and off to the airport. Arrivederci!
