200HR RYT Yoga Teacher Training

The well established and recognized Yoga Teacher Training course provides the fundamentals of teaching Yoga in a safe and intelligent way. Over the past eight years, over 400 Yoga Teachers have graduated from the Summer Intensive or the Fall/Winter program Level 1 250 hour course. Many of the graduates are now teaching in local yoga studios and health facilities as well as abroad in other countries. Some of the teachers have taught or are currently teaching in South America, Europe, Australia.

The well established and recognized Yoga Teacher Training course provides the fundamentals of teaching Yoga in a safe and intelligent way. Over the past eight years, over 400 Yoga Teachers have graduated from the Summer Intensive or the Fall/Winter program Level 1 250 hour course. Many of the graduates are now teaching in local yoga studios and health facilities as well as abroad in other countries. Some of the teachers have taught or are currently teaching in South America, Europe, Australia and Asia. Others have gone on to open their own studios locally and abroad.

This Teacher Training Course is a profound and personal experience. It is based on the ancient teaching system of Yoga, integrating the student's daily life into the yoga training. By the end of the course the student will possess a firm foundation for teaching others, in addition to strengthening his or her own yoga practice with self-discipline and awareness of the nature of body, mind and spirit. Upon graduation from the course, students receive a RYT-Yoga Teacher Certificate with 250 hours of qualification.

After completion of this course, students will be confident to lead a safe and effective class.

Introduction to the History of Yoga
Yoga styles of Ashtanga, (Traditional, Vinyasa and Flow variations) Hatha and Restorative Yin
Eastern Anatomy (Pranayamas, Chakras and Nadis) and Western Anatomy and Physiology
Patanjali's Sutras
Paths of yoga -Bhakiti, Jnana, Raja, Karma, Kundalini yoga
Mindfulness Meditation
Sanskrit for Asanas and Mantras
Common injuries, Asana alignment (hands-on adjustments) and teaching principles

With Lerrita Maya Rubinoff.
Lerrita is a Brazilian Yoga Teacher certified by “The Divine Life Society Sivananda Yoga Vedanta” in India, where she lived from 1991 to 1997.

Her first contact with yoga was in India. There she lived, learned and taught courses in Yoga. Lerrita also traveled and studied at Sri Lanka, Tibet, Burma, Nepal and Thailand.

During her visit to Asia Lerrita completed several courses – including Meditation in Bodhgaya, India; Yoga Therapy in Healing Hospital in Chiang Mai, Thailand; and Food and Nutrition at the Institute of Energy Medicine Ayurveda (the most ancient medicine of India.) In 1997, Lerrita moved to Canada. There she established her residence as well as a strong teaching practice. During her time in Canada, Lerrita taught at Yoga Passage Studio, where along with Professor Tracy Mann, Lerrita trained hundreds of yoga teachers and gave several seminars Reiki and Hindu and Buddhist philosophy.

Lerrita currently lives in Victoria, ES with her daughter Gabriella and her husband Trevor, thus realizing his dream of living in Brazil with her Canadian family.
