Our Women’s only teacher training course creates a unique experience to explore the beauty of the unfolding divine feminine within us in the original home of yoga, Rishikesh, India.
During this training you will learn how to practice and teach Hatha Yoga with a Tantric Vinyasa flow. This style suits many students as it is a yin and yang style of practice. As well as there being a dynamic purifying vinyasa aspect, we also hold asanas for longer periods to experience a deeper energetic activation and opening of the body.
This unique training also offers Traditional Tantric practices, Hridaya Hatha Yoga & Meditation, Kriyas, Pranayama, Fire ceremony, Kirtan, Sacred Dance & Womens’s ritual. Through these joyful practices we will naturally come to embody the wisdom of the teachings of yoga from the essence of our femininity.
It is when we discover the depth of beauty, power and love that lies within our feminine essence that we can then journey through life in a clear and harmonious way, bringing a nurturing and profound energy to our roles as teachers, mothers, lovers and wisdom keepers. In honouring our femininity we honour the masculine and there true union is revealed, which is the ultimate meaning of yoga.
As the course unfolds you will study the Great Wisdom Goddesses (The Maha Vidyas) from the Tantric tradition, and also experience the beauty of creating a living Yantras (sacred mandala) combined with the use of mantras related to the different Goddesses, such as Kali, Tara, Saraswati.
The theory aspect of the course is offered in a way that allows for group process and sister circles and the topics covered include, as well as anatomy and philosophy, many beautiful subjects such as sacred sexuality, yoga for children, women’s holistic health and creating sacred space. We also explore together ancient Hindu texts of the Goddess from the Devi Gita.
