Full Description

For people who want to teach meaningful yoga in small groups and personalised classes

10.30am - 6.30pm Sundays From 31 July - 18 December 2016

Have you thought about training to be a yoga teacher, but worried you weren't fit or flexible enough? Being a yoga teacher isn't just for the young and bendy! If you've experienced the benefits of yoga and want to share it with people of all shapes, ages and sizes, then this is the right training for you.

This empowering yoga teacher training doesn’t focus on how to do complicated poses. We'll teach you how to make poses do-able for people of all ages, sizes and abilities. You'll be supported to love and live with the body you're in - and do the same for your students.

From poses and breathing techniques to meditation and yoga philosophy, you’ll discover the true purpose and practice of yoga and how to adapt it to help others. That makes it ideal for people working in the helping professions who want to add yoga to their tool-box.

We'll help you develop the powerful skills you need to help students meet their individual needs. Rather than learning the ‘right way’ to do a particular exercise by rote, you will be learning to work collaboratively to create individualised solutions. It's the way yoga teaching was meant to be.

Who is this course for?

This course is for people who want to share yoga in small groups and personalised classes. Because the course is focused on accessible yoga, rather than accomplishing advanced poses, we welcome people of all ages, sizes and abilities. It’s also ideal for professionals who want to add yoga to their toolbox, including:

Life coaches
Social workers
Massage therapists

You DON’T need to be strong, flexible, slender or fit. This is an inclusive training that welcomes all body shapes, sizes and needs. We do ask that you have at least six months of yoga experience.

What accreditation will I receive?

This course is Yoga Alliance accredited and upon successful completion you can apply for RYT200 recognition. That will allow you to obtain insurance and work as a yoga teacher. At Adore Yoga, we believe that all 200hr courses are foundational training only. We strongly recommend that yoga facilitators continue their education after graduation to meet Yoga Australia minimum criteria of 350hrs training. After that, we are all on a lifelong journey of learning and discovery.

A graduate of the Qi Yoga 420 hr Teacher Training Diploma, Adore Yoga Therapy 300hr Training and Yin Yoga Teacher Training, Tracy emphasizes steadiness, stability and focus rather than 'perfection', and her students are encouraged to work at their own pace and listen to their bodies for a safe and enjoyable practice.
