Tantra teaches us that creativity is a vital part of life. We conceive that everybody is an artist, and the seed of art is waiting inside of you to be awakened. The only experience you need is life itself.
LIFE IN THE ASHRAM
The teacher training group consists of a maximum of 19 students facilitated by an engaging, international teaching team.
Living at the Retreat enables students to focus intensively on their training, fully immersing themselves in a process of learning and self-discovery. Students discover the joy of deeply engaging in yogic practice and lifestyle.
We create a space of community life in which people collaborate for the benefit of the community itself and organize themselves in order to also have moments of introspection and privacy.
So that, a close and energetic group environment is created, to allow students understand and experience the Niyama principles, share their experience and learning from processes collectively.
During this course we keep the base of Tantra knowledge in which creativity is used as a tool of liberation so that through the use of different art techniques we will get in contact with our inner self, release emotions and use arts as a meditation itself.
Lunch and afternoon break
Teachings of chanting, dancing or special arts events related to the course material (three evenings per week).
65% of the course content is focused on tantra yoga, pranayama, chakras and meditation.
Kaula Tantra Yoga is rooted in Uttara Shaivism, or Kashmiri Shaivism, one of six Śiva traditions. Students approach the asanas from a place of relaxation, care, and love for themselves.
This yoga series is practiced in a slow and flowing manner to build patience and awareness. Each asana is held gently for a period of time to allow students to relax into the posture. This way, each individual finds their own unique way of expressing the asanas without the pressure of competing or ‘performing perfectly’.
Over time, students learn to meditate in the postures to connect with the Divine. This yoga specifically cultures the diaphragms and balances every area of life, including sexuality.
Please note that classes do not involve nudity or sexual contact.
In some classes, students also will have the time to live the practice with the support and emphasis of a partner and applying the tantric philosophy tools in it.
Through the tantra teachings students learn about the energetic exchange between Shiva and Shakti, the two polarities, and how to integrate sexual energy into their yoga exploration.
Once per week we will work with chakras through the Kundalini Yoga experience. This kind of yoga show us the opposite way of practice if compared with tantra yoga and helps students understanding the difference between the various approaches to the Yoga discipline.
Meditation is basic in the Tantra Yoga practice. Students will learn how many things involve this practice which seems so simple. We will see different approaches to meditation as a tool for you to share when people have not experience with it.
In the society where we live, the concept of “doing all the time” affects every aspect of our life…so we will learn first to be present in everything we do and transform movement and art in meditation too.
In this way it will be much more simple to sit down in simple pose, keep your spine aligned and meditate in silence enjoying the total quietness.
35% of the course is dedicated to the Art Classes:
When we are present we transform the ordinary into extra-ordinary. Life is becoming a conscious creation, in other words, a ritual. In this course additionally to the yoga practice and teaching skills we’ll develop deeper views on life, relationships, communication and self awareness, that will lead us to the creation of a performative ritual for each person. In this space of freedom you will be guided to explore and transmute core aspects of your life experience, expressed by the artistic tools you received during the month. In the end of the course we share this ritual in a one day ritualistic performance day.
