300 Hour International Sivananda Advanced Teachers' Training Course

Four weeks of intense practice and study for graduates who have successfully completed the Sivananda Yoga Teachers Training Course (TTC). Graduates of the yoga teacher training course receive internationally recognized certification. Advanced Teacher Training Course fulfils the requirements for the Yoga Alliance RYT-300 certification.

Prerequisite: Must have graduated from Sivananda Teachers Training Course Yoga Alliance RYT-200

Built on the foundation of the Sivananda Yoga Teachers’ Training Course, the Advanced Teachers’ Training Course offers inspiration and guidance to students interested in deepening their own personal practice as well as giving advanced techniques to those who want to teach at a higher level. The concentrated Yoga discipline and the intense study of Vedanta philosophy are designed to take the student to a higher level of practice.

ASANAS:
The twelve basic postures in depth
Practice of classical advanced variations
Precise corrections
Deeper understanding of Hatha Yoga

PRANAYAMA:
Extended practice of Anuloma Viloma
Advanced pranayamas
Proper use of the Bandhas

VEDANTA:
The philosophical schools of India
Analogies of the supreme reality
Study of Vedantic meditation techniques
Explanation of Vedantic mantras

RAJA YOGA:
In-depth study of the Yoga Sutras from Patanjali

Learning the Sanskrit alphabet
Correct pronunciation and spelling of the mantras and hymns

Study of the nervous system, brain, endocrine glands and how they relate to the practice of asanas, pranayama and meditation

KIRTAN (MANTRA CHANTING):
