Full Description

Monica Shannon leads a teacher training that is strongly focused on providing each and every participant with a solid foundation of movement principles and how to create a sustainable Hatha Yoga practice. Participants will walk away with the skills necessary to teach a basic hot yoga class, plus being able to adapt the practice to individuals.
With more anatomy and posture mechanics hours than most teacher trainings, this training lays a solid foundation that will last a lifetime. Monica is focused on the universal laws of movement so that you are able to safely teach almost any student that may come across your path as a teacher. You will also learn how to take the classic series "out of the box", enabling you to increase your available venues for teaching a form of yoga traditionally relegated to very specific settings.
As seen from the reviews in Monica's bio, this is an opportunity to train with a Bikram trained teacher who has spent years and thousands of hours honing the versatility and adaptability of a potentially very therapeutic form of movement. While following the classic series, but applying the undeniable laws of movement, Monica has an approach towards the postures that opens up the postures to become both gentle and effective, while providing a deeper connection to the conscious aspect of your practice. As a student learning to teach, you will be given all her knowledge, no question is off limits and no piece of information is sacred. This training is truly an chance to join a small but growing collective of hot yoga teachers who believe in evolving the practice so that they too may continue to do so.
