Agama is the pioneer of Yoga on the paradise tropical island of Koh Phangan, Thailand. Founded by Swami Vivekananda Saraswati, Agama is a place for self-discovery, for revealing one’s full potential and for spiritual evolution. Agama offers great teachings, a special atmosphere, and profound Yogic knowledge. Its understanding and teachings of traditional Yoga are valuable and rare, making it unique among the array of other yoga schools in this world. The surrounding community also adds to the experience of Agama. Generations of Agama Yogis have helped form a supportive, dynamic, and interesting environment in which to grow and thrive.

Agama gives access to an authentic form of Yoga based on Indian and Tibetan traditions, presented in a practical and comprehensible way through a University-style curriculum program. The teachings are easy to implement in daily life and are often adopted immediately by students. The aim of Agama is to guide students into a journey of self-discovery and self-development.

Agama has a strong and all-encompassing understanding of how energy works, and utilizes the chakra system – the seven governing energy centers of our being - as a map to navigate through this world. Chakras enable us to achieve a state of inner balance and harmony, access amazing powers, and reach mystical experiences and deep states of consciousness.

Students have a rare opportunity to learn and practice forgotten, sacred teachings and techniques from the East. This school integrates authentic India and Tibet wisdom with a Western mindset. Agama believes there should be a bridge between spirituality and rational thinking. Classes are taught in a modern, easy-to-understand way, while keeping the essence and integrity of the ancient teachings.

This course is divided into two parts: the first 5 weeks consist of our RYT 200 HR Yoga Teacher Training Course (TTC), and the following 7 weeks consist of our additional RYT 300 HR TTC. Together these two parts create our RYT 500 HR ATTC. You can book these two programs together in advance by applying for the 500 HR ATTC, or you can book them separately, by applying for the 200 HR TTC first, and then upgrading to the 300 HR ATTC, either during or after the 200 TTC. Please note that you can save 100 USD by applying to the 500 HR ATTC instead of applying first to the 200 HR TTC and then upgrading. The same 500 HR Yoga Alliance Teacher Certification applies no matter how you choose to complete the hours.

Importantly, you can only become a fully certified Agama Yoga Teacher after successfully completing the 500 HR ATTC. This certification allows you, directly after graduation, to teach the first three levels of the Agama Yoga Program, and then to continue your advancement as an Agama Yoga Teacher, gradually receiving the empowerment to teach higher levels, workshops, retreats etc.
