Heal in Harmony Sessions:
Heal in Harmony sessions provide you with the space to explore physical and emotional wellbeing and ways of enhancing your lifestyle. The session/s can simply be used to explore ways to create the foundations of a healthy and sustainable lifestyle and as an opportunity to set goals and intentions or it can be used to explore relationships, habits that you might like to change or perhaps life changing situations or current challenges you may be facing. Whilst on retreat, further sessions are available at an additional cost on request. At the conclusion of the retreat, if you would like to continue exploring the themes raised in the Heal in Harmony sessions, private consultations are available with Martine or Jackie in person or via Skype from their Private Practices in Perth.

• All meals except for lunch and dinner
on one day

• Morning vinyasa flow yoga practice
• Evening restorative yoga
• Daily creative workshops
• 1 hour Heal in Harmony session with Jackie or Martine
• 1 hour massage
• Transfers to and from Lucca to Villa Benvenuti at the beginning and end of the retreat (one scheduled pick up and drop off)
• Assistance in arranging optional excursions to local attractions and nearby towns

Our retreat menu provides healthy and delicious food based on what is in season and the regions specialties (Dietary requirements will be accommodated). As we are in Tuscany, we will indulge in the abundance of local organic cheeses, pasta, breads, wines and other delights. Where possible the the food is sourced from the Villa’s vegetable garden or from local producers. Wine, olive oil, herbs, vegetables & fruit are all produced in abundance on the estate and provide the essential ingredients for our deliciously fresh, vegetarian meals, cleansing juices and herbal teas. Special dietary requests can easily be catered for so just let us know when booking.
Daily Yoga classes:
Enjoy our daily Vinyassa Flow classes, suitable for all levels, each morning. Fluid sequencing of postures, linked with the breath revitalize and rejuvenate both body, mind & spirit. A balanced, holistic & safe flow sequence will be introduced each morning to energize you for the day, followed by a pranayama and meditation session. Afternoon classes will unwind with a more gentle Hatha Flow with Restorative/Yin poses that focus on healing & letting go. Both morning & afternoon sequenced asana classes are designed to help you develop your own personal practice after you leave the retreat.
Villa Benvenuti is located 30 minutes from Pisa and 1 hour from Florence. Villa Benvenuti is surrounded by nature and breathtaking views. The grounds are extensive and lush with both formal and informal garden areas. There are several grassed terraces for enjoying the beautiful vistas, a secret garden waiting to be discovered and a swimming pool set away from the house amongst olive groves and oak trees. The Estate’s tranquil location and beautiful scenery make it an ideal location for our boutique retreat. The villa has comfortable accommodation and large internal rooms. There is a vast amount of outside space including open lawns, terraces, gardens and ample parking.
The villa can host groups of 14 people, with 7 flexible bedrooms as either doubles, twins or singles. The villa’s large rooms feature classically designed public spaces, and a large dining room to accommodate large groups comfortably. The Estate grounds and gardens offer an array of open areas, with walled gardens overlooking the Luccan hills and extensive forests for hiking, cycling and jogging.
Martine’s yoga journey started early in life as a teenager. Inspired by her 70 year old teacher’s re-markable vitality and story of self healing through yoga Martine’s curiosity for yoga therapy was ignited. Martine has completed YT500 in Australia and has travelled to Boston, USA to complete specialist training at the trauma treatment and research facility The Justice Resource Institute.
Martine is a trained psychotherapist and family therapist working with adolescents, adults and families in both the public health system and private practice and teaches yoga and trauma sensitive yoga at two of Perth’s leading yoga studios.
Martine believes people are empowered best when supported within a safe therapeutic relationship to develop self awareness and self esteem in all therapeutic settings, including yoga.
Martine’s passion for all things yoga has encouraged her to explore how to live life as a modern day yogi applying Patanjali’s 8 limbs of yoga into every day life.
Yoga helps to develop all areas of our lives including the physical, mental and spiritual aspects of our world. It is a process that requires patience, time and support, enabling us to be the best that we an be. Martine believes that slowly but surely your yogic journey and developing self awareness can help you reach a better understanding of the essence of yourself.
Jackie is a Clinical Psychologist who works in the areas of anxiety, depression, and stress. Having completed her PhD in the area of chronic illness, Jackie has a special interest in reducing the impact of stress on the body and the mind. With experience across prevention, early intervention and therapy, Jackie works from a strengths-based approach to promote resilience, self-regulation skills, healthy relationships and social and emotional wellbeing.
As a musician, Jackie has a specific interest in the role of creativity, mindfulness and the arts in therapy. Her practice draws together talking therapies with body-oriented and creative approaches to enhance social and emotional wellbeing. Jackie has developed creative arts and mindfulness programs for schools, hospitals, mental health clinics and families.
Jackie started her personal journey with yoga and mindfulness 10 years ago and has been playing music since her early years. Having originally studied classical piano and violin, Jackie has sung and played with a range of indie/folk acoustic musicians across Perth. Jackie has a passion for community music and is a strong advocate of the health benefits offered by creativity and the arts.
