Full Description

Visit Cusco, Machu Picchu, Aguas Calientes and Pisac with Panacea!

Surrounded by sacred architecture our yoga practice will reflect the ancient wisdom of Sabiduria, the wisdom that endures. We will begin most mornings with an asana session to prepare us for the day’s adventure. Each afternoon/evening we will be integrating our experience through discussion, meditation and breathing exercises.

We will explore the outer landscapes of some of the most remarkable remnants of the civilizations of the past as well as explore the inner landscapes of our body, mind, and soul.

Retreat Highlights:

Cucso: Our trip begins here at the gate of the empire, beside the massive Inca walls, often referred to as the ‘Archaeological Capital of the Americas’. Cusco is a beautiful city riddled with contrasts between the indigenous styles and the colonial Spanish architecture. It is vibrant city, brightly colored and full of indigenous crafts and fascinating culture set against the backdrop of the Andes.

Machu Picchu: Named one of the new Seven Wonders of the World in 2007 and a Unesco World Heritage site, Machu Picchu is the best known of the Inca ruins. Situated in the majestic Andes mountains above the Sacred Valley and surrounded on three sides by the Urubamba river, Machu Picchu offers incredible views as well the opportunity to explore one of the most important archaeological sites in the world.

Pisac: On our final days, we explore the gate way to the sacred valley. The citadel found here controlled a route which connected the Inca Empire with Paucartambo, on the border of the eastern jungles. The Sun Temple here at these ruins is equal of anything at Machu Picchu. Pisac also has great hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding and artisanal fair.
