This course will cover both traditional and modern approaches to yoga giving you simple practical tools to adjust to suit your needs. It does not matter if you are an absolute newcomer or looking to learn more, our senior teachers have the experience to support you on your journey.

Yoga is a fast growing form of exercise that compliments our lives. Thanks to professional athletes, there is lots of science based evidence proving how mental health is just as important as physical health. Yoga is as much a personal inquiry and self exploration as it is to learning how to be physically stronger and more flexible. This course will cover both traditional and modern approaches to yoga to give you simple practical tools to adjust this practice to suit your needs. It does not matter if you are an absolute newcomer or looking to learn more, our senior teachers have the experience to support you on your journey.
Each week you will learn about the different yoga postures (asanas) and cues to break the actions down. You will explore what is the best variation to suit Your body. The more you know how to self adjust, the easier and quicker it becomes to progress into stronger postures safely and confidently, and how to modify to accomodate any injuries.
This course is designed to progress. The first week will start off with movements to prepare your body for the weeks ahead. These movements help to remove stagnation, increase circulation, and improve flexibility in your muscular system. They help to remove the stiffness accumulated over night or from a stationery, inactive lifestyles.
The following weeks will move through some of the foundational postures from Standing to Balancing, Core and Seated Poses, Forward folds, Backbends, Twists, and Inversions that even your grandma can do. Inversion are the ultimate postures beneficial to reduce stress and fatigue from our bodies and aid in calming those busy minds.
First class will be Saturday 21st April, 2018.
This 7 week program offers 5x classes per week. We allow students to attend any of these classes for no extra cost. Whether you can make it once or 5 times, over the 7 weeks we will progressively help you build confidence and knowledge for a solid foundation in the yoga postures. All teachers are all fully qualified and highly trained. We will help you adjust the practice to suit you as we recognise how different and unique we all are and therefore will not make you feel like you have to fit into.
