Upon completion of a 200-hour yoga teacher training, many instructors yearn for more education and a deeper connection to the community of those teaching yoga.
Having stepped out into the world of bringing yoga to all types of students, questions begin to arise around particular needs and poses are not the same for all people and learning to adapt each pose to each person is vital in supporting all participants in a lifelong practice.
These workshops are designed to delve deeper into functional anatomy, yoga philosophy and getting more specific about fitting a yoga practice around the needs of whoever walks through the door.
Benefits to the participant:
*A deeper understanding of anatomy and its function in supporting a yoga practice
*Adapting poses to meet specific needs and body types
*An opportunity to share experiences with other yoga instructors
Participants will be given assignments based on the content of each workshop that will require working 1-1 with individuals.
Workshop 1 includes: Postural alignment, functions and challenges of the spine, adapting poses and embodying practices.
Follow-up workshops will happen in 2017, dates to be announced.
