Full Description
A key to successful yoga learning and teaching requires an understanding of the human body’s fundamental design and ability. This course creates an experiential environment for discussing, seeing, feeling and understanding the human body’s anatomical structures that create the yoga practice on the mat. Participants will survey the human body, focusing on the major muscles and bones, to understand how our anatomy can enhance and limit our yoga practice. We will also explore how we can train our eye to see more accurately the anatomy of the person in front us. The program will explore some of the more common postural misalignments that our students demonstrate in class, while giving you an opportunity to learn more about your own body and alignment.
Class taught by William Hufschmidt and Tra Kirkpatrick
