Full Description

Would you like to become a smarter yoga practitioner? Then these workshops might help you.
We will get familiar with the muscle groups of the torso, so that you can start to recognize what you are using in each posture. A closer look at the architecture of our backbone can add a new dimension to your yoga experience.

In order to have a safe practice that is appropriate for your unique body, basic knowledge of anatomy can be very useful. It could help you interpret more skilfully sensations during yoga poses and thus avoid injuries. You would be able to make an educated guess whether it is a “good” stretch (in the muscle) and so you can stay there, or whether it is a “bad” pain (in the attachment) and therefore it would be better to back off. Knowledge of anatomy is empowering — it opens new doors to dialogue with your body and make meaningful choices in your asana practice.

Language of instruction is easy-to-understand English; some explanations in French when necessary. Questions can be asked in English, French and Dutch.
We will practice Yin yoga.

This workshop is appropriate for both experienced yogis of all styles and relative beginners with at least one-year of consistent practice. Prerequisites: curiosity and open mind.
