Full Description

Anusara Yoga Workshop
09:30 - 12:30

Anusara yoga is a school of hatha yoga centered around the universal principles of alignment. Each class has a heart-orientated theme linked to the purpose of the practice of asana. An elegant and comprenesive set of alignment principles is applied to each asana. These principles are easy to grasp and allows the practitioner to find lighness and space in each pose. In this workshop, Jaye will introduce these principles and you will be able to explore them in a typical Anusara Yoga class.
This session is open to everyone! Expect to work hard (& feel awesome!)

Advance / Teachers Session
14:30 - 17:30

Please don't let the words put you off. This session is for practitioners who have had a consistent practice for a least one year. In this session, Jaye will discuss what it means to have an advance practice and offer his insights on how to sustain a strong or "advance" practice without causing injury or strain. Practitioners will have the chance to refine their understanding of standing poses, backbends and arm balances, exploring alignment principles that help maintain steadiness, detail and safety.

Story telling & Kirtan
19:30 - 21:00

Bhakti yoga is the practice of devotion. Devotion to that, that is meaningful and divine to you, whatever that may be. Singing is one of the most ancient practices of all living beings. Singing kirtan is like unlocking the space in our throat and heart. It is a practice that always leaves you feeling liberated and joyful! Come and hear some tales that fan the wings of our imagination and share kirtan that burst our hearts wide open.
