From headstand to handstand and everything in between, learn the alignment and health benefits of inverted poses while also strengthening your core and improving your balance.

In this workshop you will be carefully guided into a variety of basic to advanced arm-balances and inversions, with modifications, props, and full variations of each pose. With more time than in a traditional class it is an excellent opportunity for you to advance your practice.

Regardless of the style or level of your yoga practice, arm balances and inversions are a fantastic way to build strength, courage and confidence. They require both strength and flexibility and are less about upper body strength and more about knowing how to shift alignment. Arm balances and inversions build upper body and abdominal strength. They also ease tension, reduce fatigue and stress, and some are even considered as very therapeutic.

You do not have to be able to do arm balances or inversions to take this workshop - you will learn the correct set-up, alignment and develop a better understanding of the postures, as well as the dedicated time to practice and play with them.

• Fallen Angel / Devaduuta Panna Asana
