FOUNDATIONS OF AYURVEDA: Week 1
with Leigh Evans & Annie Kunjappy
Jan 15-17

Join Leigh and Annie for a weekend immersion exploring the principles of Ayurveda. Learn about the doshas: Vata, Pitta, and Kapha, and what asanas, food, pranayama, and lifestyle attunements will help you find balance for your individual constitution. Ayurveda treats the whole self and practices are done daily. What has been weakened in the body becomes strengthened to allow the systems to naturally achieve health. When we are able to look at our own body-mind as an organism with its own unique formula for balance, then we can support others to find their own balance.

AYURVEDIC HEALING & THE SUBTLE BODY: Week 2
with Leigh Evans & Ron Ortenberg
Feb 5-7

Explore the healing of the body/mind through the lens of Ayurveda and yoga. Rejuvenate your being by cleansing your subtle energy channels. Explore asanas that affect particular vayus, chakras, nadis and marmas. Marmas are energy points which connect with your underlying organ systems and energetic channels. Learn Dinacharya, Ayurvedic daily routine to promote health and balance. Practice Ayurvedic Seasonal yoga sequences to balance the predominant dosha for each season. Drawing from the ancient wisdom of Ayurveda and Yoga, these classes nourish your body to harmonize your inner rhythms with the energetic movements of each season. Enhance your interconnectedness with the environment and embrace your journey deeply into the Self.

Wise Earth Ayurveda
WOMB SHAKTI MEDICINE: Week 3
with Bahareh Hosseini
April 9-10

Ayurveda informs that women naturally possess a delicate equipoise within the body due to the extensive force of their Shakti-prana. The primordial feminine power moves within the body and psyche of every woman through this specific prana that circulates the two lower chakras located around the perineum and sacrum. When the balance of this prana is disturbed, it results in long-term challenges relating to the maternal strength of the woman, negatively influencing all aspects of her life. The ancients protected what we have neglected to preserve – a woman’s creative primordial energy- the Shakti prana that manifests as the pro-creative energy circulating the genitals, womb and belly of a woman. Indeed, the health of the Earth lies in honoring the female energy and its interconnection to nature’s rhythms.

Join Bahareh for this beautiful weekend workshop dedicated to the Divine Feminine and women's healing!

The Art of Ayurveda is a required course for the Yoga Sukhavati 300 HR Advanced Teacher Training Program. It counts as 50 hours towards your Yoga Alliance Certification.
