Full Description

Create your own one-of-a-kind piece of inspirational jewelry. A mala is a string of 108 beads used as a tool to help the mind focus on meditation and count mantras, intentions, or affirmations in sets of 108 repetitions. It can be challenging to sit still and quiet your mind for a period of time. The mala provides a much-needed anchor in these situations. It can also be worn as jewelry around the neck or wrist. The more you wear it, the more positive energy it absorbs and reflects back.

This workshop will begin with a yoga practice focused on tapping into your innate sense of creativity and self-discovery. Next, we’ll discuss the history and how-to’s of creating and using a mala. Then, we’ll work together to create individually inspired malas and end the class with mantra meditation using your new creations. You will take home your mala, instructions on continuing a mantra meditation practice, and countless connections with new friends.
