The class will take place on the Mondego River, in a quiet area of Coimbra's Choupalinho Park, enjoying the morning serenity for yoga practice and a short SUP ride along the river.

The practice of yoga in calm water, on a stand up paddle board (SUP), provides and enhances the awareness of the union of body and mind, in deep connection with nature.
In the Choupalinho Park area of Coimbra, the Mondego River meets the necessary conditions for a quiet practice of SUP Yoga in the morning.
At the beginning of the class there will be a brief introduction to the SUP, by monitor of the Coimbra Stand Up Paddle, then paddling a little along the river bank, to the shallow place where we will do our yoga practice on the planks. SUP.
The invitation is to connect with ourselves and nature by practicing pranayama (expansion and mastery of vital energy through breathing techniques), feeling and accepting the fun challenges that each asana (posture) places on a slightly unstable surface, We are also indulging in deep relaxation with special focus and awareness of our body and mind through a little practice of yoganidra (state of consciousness that lies between sleep and meditation), in the taste of the small current and undulation. At the end of the yoga practice there will still be time to walk a little further along the river and take a few dives.
We advise you to wear a swimsuit (and sweater if the morning is a little cool), sunscreen and a hat / cap (for those who want it). The use of slippers and a change of clothes are also advised. And you should not forget something to eat after practice, as well as water to hydrate!
