If you've ever been curious about Yoga's sister science of Ayurveda or are interested in bringing more balance into your life, this is the workshop for you. You will learn about basic concepts of Ayurveda including the three doshas of Vata, Pitta, and Kapha. You will also learn about the yogic lifestyle and the elements from Ayurveda that you can add to your daily routine to deepen your yogic and spiritual path.

This class will focus on the 5-element theory, 3-doshas (vata, pitta and kapha) and sub-doshas including their locations and expressions throughout the body. You will discover your unique physical/mental/emotional constitution. We will also take a closer look at how Ayurvedic wisdom views the Mind (Manas) in relation to the body, senses and soul.

Marilyn was first introduced to Ayurveda when she took her first yoga teacher training. The basic teachings of Ayurveda made a lot of sense to her and she was interested in learning more. It took several years before she followed up on that interest by taking a 9 month online course called the Living Ayurveda Class (LAC) offered by Cate Stillman of
Before she even finished the course, she knew that she had found her calling and wanted more. She then enrolled in Florida Academy of Ayurveda’s Ayurvedic practitioner program. She is now a certified ayurvedic practitioner and feels happier and healthier than ever before. She is very excited to share the wisdom of Ayurveda with her community.
