Dr. Nayana Rao will be leading you through this incredible week of cleansing, rejuvenation and discovery. It is not only a chance to relax and detoxify your body and mind in a beautiful and safe environment, but also an incredible opportunity to learn from this specialist in Ayurveda and panchakarma. Together we will go on a journey of healing and spiritual growth through Ayurveda, yoga and meditation. The cleansing that you will partake in is happening on all levels: physical, mental, and emotional and the panchakarma process helps us to grow spiritually as well.
The program was specially designed by Dr. Nayana Rao at her ayurvedic centre in India with her vast experience in the field of ayurveda panchakarma. She has been practicing ayurveda for more than 15 years and has more than 26 years yoga experience.
Dr. Nayana Rao is co-founder & CEO of the Ayurveda Sanctuary in Udupi, India. Nayana is an ayurveda graduate from Bangalore University, India and she also holds a masters degree in yoga () and an MBA in hospital management. She has completed advanced yoga training at BKS Iyengar Institute of Yoga, Pune. She has been practicing and teaching ayurveda and yoga for many years and has focused on the integration of ayurveda and yoga since then.
Dr. Nayana Rao has introduced and popularised the concept of ayurveda and yoga in foreign countries like South Africa, New Zealand and Switzerland in the last decade through her own Ayurveda Sanctuary. She has been regularly conducting ayurveda and yoga retreats throughout Europe and in the Himalayas in India every year.
A typical day will include:
Ayurvedic massages or therapies (you will also learn to give these treatments, as well as receive them)
Ayurvedic pulse diagnosis
Ayurveda/yoga/spiritual lectures on informative topics such as: home remedies, use of spices, learning to introspect with silence, daily and seasonal routines and meditation, chanting and relaxation.
