Full Description

Students who complete this program may continue their studies to become an Ayurvedic practitioner or begin to integrate what they have learned into complementary modalities including yoga, life coaching, massage therapy and other wellness modalities. Graduates of this program may also choose to conduct introductory Ayurvedic workshops. This program is an enriching addition to our 200 and 300-hour teacher training courses, iRest, Urban Zen and other training programs at Yoga on High.

Students who complete the Level 1 Ayurveda Health Educator program will receive a certificate of completion.
Curriculum

The Level 1 program is both theoretical and practical. Students will learn the principles of Ayurveda and apply them to their own lives. We have found that living and embodying Ayurveda is the best way to learn Ayurveda. Students will also work on extensive cases studies to reinforce the learning process.

Philosophy
Anatomy and Physiology
Pathology
Diagnostics
Psychology
Nutrition
Herbalism
Sensory Therapies.

Format

The Ayurveda Studies Level 1: Ayurvedic Health Educator () is an 11-month long weekend program. The program will meet one weekend a month for 11-months on Saturday and Sunday from 8:00am-6:00p. This program will begin May 29, 2015.
