In our society, we spend most of our time sitting, driving and hunched over a computer which takes a huge toll on our physical, emotional and spiritual bodies. Backbends open the front of the body, especially the heart centre, and generate emotional freedom and joy.

In this workshop, we will explore the mechanics of backbends and learn how to feel better in them. Through shoulder openers, quad/psoas stretching, and twists we will prepare and release the body for the deeper back bending postures.
Through mantras, mudras, meditation and manifestation we will open our hearts, heal the pain, set intentions and rise to our highest potential.
All levels are welcome and it doesn’t matter how long you have been practicing yoga, backbends have the unique ability to open our heart centers, brighten our moods and make our spirits soar.

about the teacher:
Karin’s love for yoga started 13 years ago, as a form of exercise to balance her rigorous gym workouts. Curiosity grew into passion and she was hooked, she loved how the practice of yoga helped to find peace and harmony in her life. Through practice she gains better mental clarity & focus, a feeling of being more centred and increased self-awareness. She has a deep interest in the mind body connection as well as a deep fascination with the heart and opening our hearts to allow more love into our lives.
Karin is a certified Hatha and Vinyasa Flow Yoga teacher.
