Start, refine or grow your yoga practice. Discover the many benefits of yoga. Improve your balance, flexibility, relieve stress and improve overall heath.
In this workshop you will learn proper yogic breathing techniques, sun salutations, standing poses and hip openers. The workshop will conclude with a deep relaxation, wear comfortable clothing
•You will learn important yoga terminology, both in English and in Sanskrit, such as pranayama, which means “breath” or “extension of life force.”
•You will discover fundamental asanas, or poses, such as sun salutation, child’s pose, and spinal twist.
•You will explore how to complete each movement safely, and how to modify movements in order to accommodate your own personal abilities (and any injuries you may have or have had).
•You will receive instruction on how to safely use yoga props such as blankets, blocks, and straps.
