Full Description

Suitable for practitioners with a minimum of 6 months' experience, this Jivamukti Yoga workshop seeks to explore how cultivating an attitude of gratitude can positively transform our experiences of life on and off the mat.

The workshop will feature sanskrit chanting and a vigorous asana practice. We will work through pranayama techniques to aid more functional breathing, mindfulness practices and meditation techniques to look at how to deal with 'the mind'. Where does discipline help us?

We will see how ancient yoga philosophy including the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, as well as modern philosophical systems, tackle the challenges of life. The workshop will conclude with us each developing an achievable home practice (it could be as simple as sitting quietly for 5 minutes each morning) and setting up a daily gratitude journal. All journaling materials will be provided.

*please bring a yoga mat, an open mind and warm outdoor clothing in case we take a walking meditation.
