I run a variety of Breathe By The Sea yoga day escapes and weekenders in Brighton. They are all held in and around a fabulous studio right on the beach.

Join us for our Breathe By The Sea Yoga Weekender. Set in and around Brighton’s beautiful East Sussex coast line. This deeply nourishing retreat is about unwinding and re-connecting the body, mind and heart through various yoga practices and immersion into the sights and sounds of nature.

The weekend is a real treat, taught by advanced level yoga teachers - Christina Christoph who teaches Vinyasa, slow flow and hot hatha yoga at London's leading yoga studio, Triyoga, and Bec Milligan who is an experienced yoga teacher specialising in nurturing restorative practices and a registered nutritionist with expert knowledge in self care.

We know only too well how hard it is to find a retreat that’s on your doorstep or just a train ride away, but that gives you just enough of an escape and deeper practice to shake off the city pressure and leave you feeling relaxed and rejuvenated; so we have designed this weekend to do exactly that.

Whether you just need a well earned break, want to explore your practice more deeply, or just spend a weekend doing something completely yogic whilst breathing in fresh air and beautiful scenery, this retreat is for you.

We will practice in a lovely wood construction studio situated on the beach with views directly out to sea. We will drink in some of the South Coasts most stunning scenery as we take a long meditative walk to the sounds of nature. We will take a 2 hour wood fired sauna on the beach with optional sea swimming. Across the weekend there will be time to soak in the seasonal sunsets and enjoy each others company over great food (suitable for vegans).

This weekend includes:
2 extended Yoga asana practices per day, including vinyasa flow and restorative.
Meditation and breath work (pranayama)
irest style Yoga Nidra (deep rest guided meditation)
Sunset practices, from our beachfront studio where the sun sets over the sea
Long meditative walk in nature along the South Coast
A sauna session on the beach:
Beachtime and optional sea swimming
Evening picnic or meal for those who want to socialise more (optional)
Both days are inclusive of lunch and healthy snacks. Suitable for vegetarians and vegans.

We’ve chosen to make this retreat non-residential. Our base will be on the beach in the Kemp Town area of Brighton. It’s easy to find your own accommodation nearby. Splurge on luxury, stay with a mate or find a cheerful B&B, there’s something to fit every budget in Brighton.

We want you to experience the freedom and joy of Brighton for yourselves, so evenings are free for you to discover more, spend time with the group, or will be an optional vegan picnic on the beach for Saturday night if you fancy hanging out and eating alfresco in true Brighton summer style. There’s also enough time for you to travel Saturday morning or make more of a weekend of it - arrive Friday night and discover the magic of Brighton’s evenings and famous weekend brunches.
