A brilliant combination of yoga retreat and holiday, this retreat is a real chance to escape the everyday stresses and strains of modern life and spend a week of self-care in beautiful surroundings. Classes take place twice a day, mornings and late afternoons, either on the open-air rooftop shala with panoramic views across the mountains or inside a beautiful spacious studio.

We practice to morning birdsong and evening sunsets, starting each day with a mindful and joyful strengthening and releasing slow flow (vinyasa style). Morning sessions build gradually across 2 hours as the body wakes up and increases in vitality, allowing us to harness our energy and enjoy the practice and experience of being in and moving our bodies with graceful awareness.

The late afternoon early evening practice takes advantage of the heat of Morocco's April temperatures to get deeper into the body with a warm hatha and yin fusion practice. To close this session Christina will introduce and guide us through an iRest style (integrative restoration) Yoga Nidra meditation programme which will progress across the week. This profound restful and healing practice gives balance to the more active practices, effortlessly leading you into a supportive place for self inquiry and towards a freer, more peaceful and more creative state of mind across the week. The later sessions are designed to completely refresh and revitalise, using quieter and more restful practices in order to achieve the healing mode which is at the heart of yoga.

There is plenty of time between classes to enjoy the resort and/or to explore the delights of Marrakech but we will also take a day off mid-week to give you the opportunity to explore further afield or make maximum use of the spa and swimming pools!
