Our aim is to once again unite the Cape's yoga community for another extravaganza of yoga , featuring some of the most popular teachers and their UNIQUE styles of teaching and practices.

With this theme in mind we present to you , four (4) back to back 60 minute classes with 20 minute breaks in between . To be hosted by 4 different specialist instructors offering their own unique forms of yoga . This is what you can expect ….

Laurence from Chaitanya School of Yoga will host YIN YANG YOGA – THE DANCE OF THE DRAGON , a gentle Vinyasa style flow , infused with elements of Tai Chi and Shaolin , this 60 min flow will warm you up for the rest of the day and leave you feeling calm and relaxed but with bubbly energy flowing through Sushumna .

Madelain Burgoyne ( Mad about Yoga ) and more recently ( Mad about my Life ) Although Madelain is trained in Hatha yoga, she likes to mix up yoga with primal principles of functional movement, calisthenics & intermittent fast paced interval training. It’s nothing short of playful, challenging, mixed with a little bit of flow & creative improvisation .
Madelain doesn’t belong to any one yoga tradition, but is rather, a student of Movement overall & follows the philosophy of biologically appropriate Movement coupled with effective efficiency.
Madelain landed her first corporate yoga-teaching contract in 2011 & that
lead her to pursue her Yoga teacher certification with additional training in Sadie Nardini’s, Core Strength Vinyasa .In 2012 Mad About Yoga was born & Madelain held underground group
yoga classes & coached private clients around Cape Town.
In 2013, she turned Mad About Yoga into Mad About Movement.

Hylton Jaggard of HOT DOG YOGA - Hylton is the founder of Hot Dog Yoga and in 2009 found his way back home after a long career as a dancer and one of the most sought after and much loved yoga teachers in New York City. Hylton’s playful nature is always present and one leaves his dynamic classes feeling rejuvenated and relaxed. He has been practicing for 22 years and teaching for 16. Alignment and thoughtful sequencing is the basis of his classes. Hylton presents the breath as the underlying meditation behind all practice and incorporates Ashtanga, Iyengar, and restorative methods regularly. Hylton is certified by the Western Australia School of Yoga, Intensive training with John Lebold, training under senior teachers Jenny Kapuler and Kevin Gardiner at the Iyengar Center NYC, Richard Freeman Ashtanga Yoga Teacher Training, and Shimon Ben-Avi Teacher Training Intensive.

Sandi Voges – GONG BATH MEDITATION – Sandi has experienced a shift in her own inner awareness which has now led her to facilitating group meditations particularly Gong Bath Meditations as well as individual healing sessions. A Gong bath meditation is likened to a mini vacation and your entire being bathes in soothing and calming waves of sounds and vibrations . The Gong sounds have the ability to mix the senses , so the listener is taken out the normal physical reality into an inner world of feelings and dreams and even visions. What better way to end off the festival .
