Join Jacqui Bonwell for her signature, seasonal chakra cleanse. A vinyasa class that explores the 7 major chakras & solely focuses on energetic and emotional organization. Learn the multitude of things you are energetically & emotionally addressing & aligning each time you practice. Breathe some life back into areas within you that feel run down or sluggish. Get your resources back on track and don’t let your stress continue to suffocate the force of your life. Let who you really are come back up for air & reconnect with the secure, grounded & powerful side of yourself. This class masterfully targets the things that hold you back from true peace and teaches you the power of daily perspective and how to keep stressful influences at arms length. Jacqui offers every day solutions you can apply to live the rest of your life with genuine ease. Maybe even great joy! Relax your history & amplify the gift of the present moment with your own healing skills. The practice tells us the minute we look outside ourselves…we’re in trouble.

Jacqui BonwellHello, I am Jacqui Bonwell: Experienced – 500hr Registered Yoga Teacher (E-RYT-500), Reiki Master, Yoga Life Coach, Director of the Sacred Seeds Yoga School (RYS-200hr level, RYS-500hr level) in the Boston/New England area and Owner of the Canton Yoga Shala in Canton, MA. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Sociology from the University of Rhode Island. I work primarily with Yoga Teachers through my 200hr & 500hr Yoga Teacher Training certification programs. Additionally, I provide Life Coaching to help yoga students deepen their practice and apply the teachings to their everyday lives.

After graduating from college, I backpacked Europe then headed home. I began a 10 year career in Social Services that took me from Boston neighborhoods to a women and children’s refuge in Ireland. During my social services career, I had the privilege of meeting amazing people who did more than persevere; they transformed. At the same time, I witnessed a darker side of life that felt like sandpaper to the soul.

There are defining moments in life when we wonder if we are in the right place or if we are heading in the right direction. Distance helps us to see things clearly. Yoga provided me with the space I needed to reflect. From my yoga practice, answers came forth. After ten years of being overworked and overweight, my body had dictated that I had learned how not to live. That is when I said good-bye to my career in social services.

From my first class with Sagarika Ghose and forward, I knew that yoga for me was more than a practice, it was a calling. I completed the Open Doors Teacher Training out of Weymouth, MA. This program not only touched on the teachings of yoga (power vinyasa, hatha & restorative yoga) but included strong energy healing components. I met a wonderful mentor, Reiki Master & Teacher, Pat Iyer. She helped me to build strong roots right out of the training gate.

At just the right place and time, a major inspiration of mine, Sharon Gannon (Jivamukti Yoga), came into my life. She directed me on the path of genuinely preserving what yoga is and living life to its fullest extent.

I will be forever grateful for the sage teachings of those yogi’s who have gone before me. I continue to be deeply inspired by my fellow yoga teachers: David Vendetti, Johnny Gillespie, Rolf Gates, Sharon Gannon and Pat Iyer. I have profound respect for an endless list of yogi’s and healers that I have come to know.

My greatest mission in yoga is to direct people back to their original selves – where their greatest source of freedom and strength already exists.

Every day, I am reminded of the importance of connection to spirit. I see these very teachings in my children: Lola, 5, and Wyatt, 1, and my two children in spirit. My teachers include my husband, my mother, my whole family, friends and yoga students. Through the people put into my life, I know that the divine exists here on earth.
