Chant and Be Happy
The workshop will explain benefits of chanting, plus breathwork (pranayama) techniques. Practice will include yoga postures and flow, using sound, leading up to chanting of simple mantras in Sanskrit and English.

In the 70s, George Harrison produced Chant and Be Happy, featuring devotional music. Kirtan made George happy. Anyone can chant and be happy. You don't need to sound like Celine Dion, or keep the beat like Ringo. You only need your breath and your voice.
These workshops help you to vocalize, and feel the sound in your body, + learn mantras.
Drop in rate is $40 per session, or pre-pay two for $60. This will be a semi-private workshop limited to 4 people.
Chanting is therapeutic. Most cultures and religions around the world have practiced chanting. It doesn't matter if you prefer Latin, Hebrew, Swahili or Sanskrit. The act of chanting is very relaxing and spiritually uplifting. This workshop takes you on baby steps to get comfortable chanting.

Charnes was trained in Ayurveda at Sivananda Ashram in India. In addition to the Ayurveda certification, she holds certification in Yin Therapy, Restorative Yoga Therapy and Yoga Nidra Therapy, Acupressure and Reiki. She holds an advanced 700 hour certification in accordance with the International Association of Yoga Therapists. Beyond her Yoga Therapy, Deborah teaches all things yoga and Pilates, stateside, in English and Spanish.
