Full Description

Whether you are a beginner with many questions or a passionate with a well-developed yoga practice, this retreat in the South of India offers you the teaching and care that nourish and heal the body and mind.

Twice a day during this retreat (morning and late afternoon) we will explore the following yoga practices: Ashtanga Yoga, Hatha Yoga, Pranayama and Meditation in order to help you understand all aspects of yoga so that you can begin to cultivate a healthy and sustainable yoga practice.

You will also receive the teachings of a professor in Ayurveda who will humbly pass on millennia base principles of the traditional Indian medicine: Ayurveda.

The daily practice of yoga is composed of dynamic classes in the morning and slow/gentler classes late in the afternoon along with sessions of pranayama, hatha yoga and meditation.

Yoga practice will take place in a dedicated space outside in a beautiful shala with a nice view over the ocean.

The yoga session in the morning starts at 07:30 and is a guided dynamic class allowing students to discover the principles of Vinyasa (breath timing and movement) in an appropriate sequence of postures favoring the appearance of concentration, interiority, strength and equanimity.

The second session of yoga / meditation and pranayama will take place from 6pm to 7pm. This Hatha Yoga and meditation class will focus on fundamental postures on a much slower pace favoring the appearance of relaxation and mental vacuum in an active presence.

The proposed meditations practices are based on Mantras songs interacting with the chakras, meditation or exercises on the breath / kriyas that work on cleaning the subconscious.

The pranayama practices are extracted from the Kaivalyadhama tradition.

This retreat is open to beginners and students of all levels who wish to discover or deepen their practice.
