Corporate Yoga

This workshop will be organised for corporate workers as it is very challenging for them to sync in with there workload as well as pay attention of their fitness. This program will teach corporate workers to manage both side by side. Yoga can prove to be beneficial for businesses as well as employees as it increases productivity and reduce stress.

Yoga District’s mission is that every being deserves the holistic benefits of yoga as a practical tool of empowerment, health, and physical is a time-tested practice that cultivates boundless levels of energetic and physical fitness. Just as we bring yoga to those who may not otherwise be able to experience the benefits of yoga, through our Yoga Activist branch, we have also designed a yoga program for the corporate employee. Corporate employees deserve the opportunity to reduce stress and tension AND become more physically fit. It’s a busy world we live in today, with increasing demands on employers and employees alike. We work long hours, often hunched over a computer. We skip meals, keep a phone glued to our ear, and rarely leave our workspace for a break. Before long, these work habits begin to take their toll on our bodies and minds in the form of stress, tension and sickness. And while a mild amount of stress can help us meet deadlines, too much stress, or constant stress, can interfere with numerous physical and mental abilities. How we respond to stress can have a significant impact on our total health. Yoga can remove stress from the body and mind.

One of the main reason for management reluctance for implementing Corporate Yoga Programs in their organization is a common myth that Yoga programs requires a lot of space and time and hence can’t be implemented in corporate environment. Corporate Yoga provide solutions where exercises can be done ranging even for 10 min sitting on chair or standing near Yoga classes are a great way to improve workplace morale, increase productivity and bring everyone together to do something fun as a group. Yoga can be a welcome break to a busy work day or a relaxing way to de-stress at the end of the day.
Corporate Yoga programs have many benefits such as when employees that are happy and full of energy, and as a result, more productive; decline in stress-related sick occurrences; Improved concentration, decision-making skills and ability to multi-task; Improves employee alertness and ability to react more calmly in demanding situations; Relief of head, neck and back strain, carpal tunnel syndrome, insomnia, high blood pressure and work-related injuries from repetitive motion; Better customer service; Enhanced employee attitude and outlook; General well-being in the workplace which reduces employee turnover.

Corporate Yoga can be provided in various forms like Rapid Yoga, a session kept short ranging from around 15-20 mins where no particular set of clothing or a dedicated space is required and sessions can be held anytime. Chair Yoga, it is suitable for people working on office or sitting for long, sessions can be kept short and all exercise can be done sitting on a chair. Desktop Yoga, a session ranging between 30-60 mins, no dedicated cloths and place and can be done anytime. Yoga on the move, it is suitable for people travelling, can be done standing or sitting at anytime and utilise the idle time on keeping oneself OPD, Meditation, Traditional Yoga and Power Yoga are also some examples for the same.

The benefits Yoga offers employees can translate into valuable assets for businesses; namely, higher employee morale, increased productivity, and fewer sick days and disability claims.
