Creating space in your body while practicing yoga helps to maximise the benefits we should be getting out of yoga - energy flow, organ health, mental clarity/relaxation and better posture/ musculoskeletal health. This workshop will help each individual understand and also FEEL how to strike this important balance during their practice.

Salema will kick start the session with a strengthening and flowing 45-minute sequence. Tim will offer his expertise during the flow, with verbal and physical adjustments, to improve the therapeutic value of the poses and also reduce the risk of injury. Salema will also be adjusting. Tim will follow with an experiential discussion stem- ming from his work as an osteopath, focusing on specific “problem” asanas that arise from the earlier practice.
With over 10 years’ experience, Salema is an Advanced Certified Teacher with Yoga Alliance and has mentored on The Power Yoga Teacher Training. She has taught and assisted at the Jivamukti Centres in New York, London, and Basel and at Bhakti Yoga Shala in LA. Her background prior to graduating with Jivamukti Yoga in 2009 is in Karuna Yoga, Thai Massage and Yoga Therapy (Doug Keller) which helps inform her understanding of hands on adjusts.
After completing a in Sports Science in 1987, Tim Goullet qualified as an osteopath and subsequently lectured in osteopathic technique at the British College of Osteopathic Medicine for twenty years before focusing on building his very busy osteopathic practice at triyoga Chelsea. In 2005, Tim co-authored the book ‘Healing Yoga” with Liz Lark. Following this, Tim created his own therapy system - Yoga bodywork - a technique inspired by his encounters with yoga and Thai massage and specifically designed for yoga practitioners.
