This course is appropriate for practitioners and teachers seeking to deepen their own Ashtanga practice as well as for those who feel an urge to share and teach the Ashtanga Vinyasa system.
David believes that in order to teach Ashtanga, one must appreciate it deeply and dive into it wholeheartedly. Ashtanga yoga is more than practicing a set series of postures in a particular order. Considering the methodology and philosophy behind and within Ashtanga practice is critical to deepening one’s practice and developing one’s ability to teach.
In this intensive, David will share the knowledge he has acquired in his studies and in his 14 years of teaching. The goal of the course is to grasp the context and process of an Ashtanga practice in order to prepare practitioners to teach the Ashtanga method.
