Saturday, May 3rd. 7:00-9:00pm $20.
Rahasya’s music, rooted in ancient Indian kirtan and mantra, pushes the future of chant music with live sequenced thumping bass lines, elements of electronica, hip-hop, afro-beat, gospel, and down tempo grooves. Mantras are interspersed with conscious raps and vocal hooks that resonate, inspire, and uplift. Rahasya’s music gets people moving, grooving, and singing ecstatically.
Savasana: The Essential Art of Letting Go
Sunday, May 4th. 1:00pm-3:00pm $25.
An intelligent yoga practice will furnish the nervous system with a host of new neuromuscular information. Savasana gives the nervous system a chance to integrate and becomes the beginning of a deeper, meditative yogic practice. In this state of sensory withdrawal, it is easier to be aware of the breath and of the state of the mind itself. Savasana is often overlooked as a highly effective yoga pose yet is essential for illustrating our ability to let go—mentally, emotionally, and physically. In this class, we will practice gentle, meditative, movements that will open and prepare the body and mind for a deep experience of savasana. Seemingly easy, it is one of the most challenging poses in yoga and is a gateway to Liberation.
