Do you find it difficult standing on your hands? Would you like to find out why, and what to do about it?

Join us for a thorough and fun introduction to arm balances, handstand, and forearm balance that will help you build self confidence and expand your yoga practice. In this fun and enlightening workshop we will pinpoint the common issues that make handstand and arm balances challenging, and show you effective ways to address them (and no, lack of arm strength is not the main challenge).

Designed for people who can stay in a handstand at the wall for a few breaths even if you can't kick up yet, this workshop will teach you how to increase your confidence, your strength, your flexibility, and your balance to make handstand and arm balances possible, safe, and fun!

Prerequisites: This course is designed for all yoga practitioners who wish to deepen their knowledge of the fundamentals of arm balances and handstand. No prior arm balance practice is required, but a few months of yoga practice will certainly be helpful, and being able to hold downward dog for a minute or more will enable you to get the most out of this workshop. If you are already comfortable going upside down, you will nonetheless learn a wealth of techniques and anatomical and alignment detail that will transform your arm balance practice, making it safer, more effective, and more fun. Also highly recommended for yoga teachers who want to learn how to teach arm balances and handstand more effectively. Please eat a light and/or early lunch on the days of the workshop.
