"When one is asleep, there is something in consciousness which tells us that what presents itself is but a dream."
—Aristotle, “On Dreams”
For the Ancient Greeks, dreaming was an opportunity to understand existence beyond the “awake” state. By following the right diet, dancing, singing and cultivating mental focus, they would prepare themselves for their dreams. Dreams in ancient Greece were seen as an opportunity for mortals to connect with higher divine energies capable of inspiring miraculous healing.
Teachings / Practices
All of our daily sessions are carefully designed to help you connect, during waking hours, with the unconscious mind, the soul, the psyche, so that when Hypnos, the Greek god of sleep comes, your unconscious can bring you the healing dream. As ancient Greeks believed, dreams and the physical body are inextricably linked, and it is through dreams that one can practice ‘knowing thyself’ and experiencing divine eternity—the teacher and the healer we all have within us:
