YOGA

The focus of this retreat is to encourage withdrawal into and the exploration of the inner Self through the practice of yoga asana, pranayama, meditation and discussions on the philosophical pillars of a complete yoga practice.

Mornings are started with a guided meditaion and pranayama practice followed by a led asana class based on the dynamic and invigorating ashtanga primary series (practiced up to navasana). Two mornings are dedicated to workshops with a more in depth exploration of different aspects of asana practice focusing on alignment, anatomy and other principles to support ones physical asana practice.

The afternoon yoga asana sessions are more relaxed, calming and restorative classes based on a variety of yoga styles. ​​

The calm summer evenings are filled with meditation, philosophy talks and silent walks. We explore different tools that allow yoga (union) to enrich every aspect of your life. Guided by Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras and the eight limbs of Ashtanga Yoga the retreat allows each participant to develop strength, comfort and the ability to pay attention and be present in ones life and practice.

A small group and highly individual approach are important aspects of this yoga retreat. The support of three experienced teachers allows you to devote time to build steadiness, lightness and integrity in your asana practice.

Participants are encouraged to participate in as much of the program as possible, while everyone is expected to be present during the morning sessions.

ACCOMMODATION & FOOD

The retreat is hosted at a slightly secluded mansion situated in the Brsecine Bay, one of the most beautiful locations in Dubrovnik area. Gently elevated, in the tiny hamlet of Brsecine, the mansion is privileged to a breathtaking vista of the Adriatic and it’s islands. The mansion is composed of two buildings, placed in an enclosed natural sight of 3,600m2. One just a few steps above the other, both equally well appointed with all the bedrooms looking out into the sea. The garden, terraces and a pool area provide enough space for everyone to withdraw into a private space when needed (read more about the location and amenities under the accommodation tab). The nearest beach is a steep 10minute walk down (and later back up) from the villa. We offer drop offs and pickups from the nearest beaches for your convenience.

A nutritious and healthy diet is an important aspect of this retreat, thus we have carefully planned and prepared a wholesome, fresh, and balanced vegetarian menu from local products with a lot of dedication and love. Brunch is a flavorful, healthy buffet of grains, nuts, fruits, local cheese, home made breads, salads, vegetables and other delights. Mindfulness while partaking in meals is important thus we encourage silence during brunch (following the morning practice). Dinners are set meals designed to support ones overall well-being.

Our Chef uses the inspiration gathered while traveling the world to give classical cooking techniques and traditional foods a personal twist. A vegetarian for over 16years Stephanie keeps searching for new ways of turning everyday ingredients into creative feasts.
