Easy Pose: Yin Yoga & Gong Meditation

Full Description

Easy pose is the primal pose we take when sitting in meditation. We practice yoga asana to find our seat. The word asana literally means 'finding our comfortable seat'. When we come to our mat we want to find the ease within our breath and pose. Yin Yoga prepares our body and mind to arrive in our easy pose.

In this workshop we will explore the deep stretches and holds of the pose to release any weight and baggage we carry on an mental and emotional level. In addition to regulate the flow of the practice we will use the pranayama breathing exercises to slow the mind and attune our focus, release stress and regulate the heart.

The gong meditation helps to deepen your experience, so once you come up into your seated "easy pose", there is an ease in the mind, the body is comfortable and their steadiness in your breath.

This workshop is ideal for practitioners who want to go deeper into their practice. Give yourself this time to experience the healing benefits of the asanas through Yin Yoga and set up for the magic of meditation.
