There are a few things in life that go really well together like surf and yoga. They both complement and benefit each other . Surfers, when they are out in the water need strength, mental focus and good breathing techniques besides balance and patience. Some applies to yogis during their practice. For most surfers and yogis there is a connection with their practice that goes beyond the physical. One core element for both is breathing. The first and last thing we do in our lives. It is essential for surfing and yoga and is a great way to learn techniques that help us to breathe properly. Further it helps to build up core strength , stamina and flexibility that are fundamental to surfers.
In this retreat you'll have two daily yoga sesssions along with surfing instruction. One session in the morning before you paddle out where we will warm up muscles and soften ligaments. This activates the the circulation and lets you start the day aware, focused and motivated.
When you come back from the water, a restorative and relaxing yoga practice will help you come down, stretch again and start the recovery process actively.
