Type of Event
The Retreat starts with dinner around 5:30, but you can check into your rooms earlier. We end on Monday with Lunch.
The Ojai Women's Retreat is open to only 10 women which allows us to create a customized approach for the individual. Teaching you what are the 'right' self-care practices for you in Yoga, Ayurveda, and the Alexander Technique. Everyone is unique. Our goal is to leave you feeling empowered, nourished, radiant and take home the tools that you can use to create balance within each day.
These three disciples - Yoga, Ayurveda, and the Alexander Technique - will teach you how to let go of your 'old habits' and ground yourself in everyday practices that will feed your body, mind, and soul.
They work to integrate your whole body and mind helping you to recognize clearly the fragmentation that creates disharmony in the first place.
Yoga: The breath-centered yoga we teach helps create a link between the asana movement, our breath, and mind allowing you to change your state by changing your focus. Combined with the Alexander Technique it takes yoga a step further.
Ayurveda: Teaches you to understand your underlying imbalances, so that you are more in control of your food choices, your digestion, and elimination. It uses the five sense therapies to bring back your natural state of harmony in the body and mind.
Alexander Technique: Teaches you to let go of the interfering patterns that are creating unnecessary stress and tension in the body. By changing your body posture you can change the way you think, feel, and move.
