Energizing Chair Yoga
Chair Yoga led by Bonnie Rubell, RYT, OTR is a gentle, mindful exercise which incorporates adapted yoga poses (asanas), with specific breathing techniques (pranayama) in a chair, as well as many standing positions.
Type of Event
6 Week series class runs on Mondays from 11:45-1 PM
Pre-register for series to get rate of $10 per class. The class needs 4 people pre-registered to run. Drop in rate of $15 per class if class is running.

Chair yoga is a lot of fun and appropriate for people of all ages. It is especially beneficial for people who work at a desk; are recovering from an injury or have a physical limitation which makes it difficult to ascend and descend to and from a floor mat.
Chair yoga, like mat yoga, increases overall flexibility, tones muscles, increases range of motion at all joints, enhances breathing, general circulation, reduces stress, improves mental focus, and helps to improve physical and mental balance.
All you need to bring with you is an open mind, a water bottle, and wear comfortable clothing. (If you feel the need to first consult with your doctor or therapist, please do so.)
