Full Description

Feeling like you're operating at full capacity or on autopilot? Feeling constantly bombarded by stimuli, thoughts or even stories that are running through your mind? You're not alone! We're programmed this way, and society and social media has activity ramped up.

Let's press pause and reconnect.

Mindfulness is living with a moment-by-moment awareness of our thoughts, feelings, bodily sensations, and surrounding environment. You don't need to be in a cave to access it doesn't need to be soooo serious! Even 'serious' meditators with a consistent practice need to, well, practice.

Every day more studies emerge demonstrating the tangible benefits of mindfulness practice, including: stress reduction, stronger immune system, reduced reactivity, less anxiety, improved focus and memory and more contentment. But perhaps more than anything else, this practice can facilitate deeper connections with yourself and those around you.

It's not necessary to be in a formal seated meditation to practice mindfulness techniques; learn how to incorporate it into your everyday life.

This 90 minute workshop includes:
A gentle yoga practice designed to prepare your body for meditation (including an aromatherapy savasana massage).
Guided mindfulness meditations
Journaling & intention setting
A small take-a-way to help you bring this practice into your everyday life
Please bring a pen and a journal. This workshop is suitable for all levels and anyone wishing to explore or deepen this beautiful practice.

The session will be led by Kathy Parsons, meditation guide, yoga teacher and ‘type-A in recovery’. Kathy has been practicing and studying mindfulness techniques for over 10 years and believes that there is a meditation practice for everyone. She encourages students, friends and family to experiment with different methods to find the right fit and connection.
