Full Description

Families will participate in a typical yoga vacation following the asanas schedule with yoga classes during the morning 08.00 to 10.00. The afternoon asanas from 16.00 to 18.00 will be composed of other activities for the children while the parents concentrate more deeply on their yoga and technique.

Connection
Increased connection through yoga poses and games bring together family members in a way that is very different from when pursuing other family activities. There is no competition. Each member sees each others strengths and weaknesses which brings everyone to a common ground and a mutual appreciation. Each member connects with their own body and breath while feeling the enormous power of the groups energy and support for the asanas.

Happiness
Family yoga involves taking yoga less seriously. Yoga encourages correct alignment but does not focus on it. The focus (Dhristi) is in finding the fun and joy in moving ones body and sharing this with your loved ones. Asanas, especially partner ones, lead to many laughs as bodies of different sizes and shapes try to join together in one pose.

Tools for Life and Peace
There are breathing techniques that both children and parents can bring into their lives to head off anxiety, hot temper or the tired minds. Asanas are taught to release energy and help children and parents ready themselves for bed and rest. It is this last moment of silence and joined breathing at the end of each session that brings calmness into the room and hearts of everyone involved.

Accommodation
The Sanctuary by Caimeli is a yoga retreat and olive plantation located next to a nature sanctuary. The manor house and guesthouse were built in the traditional style of the region over 200 years ago.

Caimeli sits on a gentle hill cusp with 16 hectares of rolling landscape filled with olive, cherry, and nut trees surrounding the houses and a drop-dead infinity swimming pool. The olive plantation is in turn surrounded by pure wilderness on 3 sides and the fourth side is the access to reality, which is only 5 kilometers down the hill to the town.

The inside is a meeting between modern and authenticity with wooden beams, terracotta floors, and vernacular lines accentuating the modern kitchens, bathrooms, and other Italian designed furniture. Outside, there are 3 different terraces offering plenty of opportunity for dining and relaxing. There is a barbecue and a fire pit for your outdoor pleasure.
