Three hour Forrest Yoga workshop with Claire Mace focussing on the upper back and shoulders. We'll work deeply to open and strengthen the upper body through asana practice, then enjoy a deep meditation and relaxation at the end.

Workshop starts at 10am but please allow quarter of an hour to get from the RSPB carpark to Ellin's Tower.

In this workshop we’ll explore the mysteries of the shoulders and upper back. Modern life – texting, driving, sitting – often leads to a hunched, rounded and closed posture. How can we explore a more open attitude to life – and let go of the burdens we carry on our shoulders?
We’ll do extended warm ups and specific exercises to bring feeling and tone to the upper arms and to open the chest area, followed by a sequences designed to strengthen the whole back. We’ll end with a half hour guided meditation and relaxation.
All levels are welcome, whether you’ve just taken a few yoga classes or are a yoga teacher, and modifications will be given where needed.
The workshop will be led by Claire Mace, at the beautiful location of Ellin’s Tower near South Stack, on the holy island. Bring a picnic to share afterwards and maybe take a walk – it’s a great time of year to see all the seabirds on the cliffs.
