Yoga of the Foot

These are the walking lessons we all should have had when we were young – but it’s never too late to transform your relationship to the surface of our planet. Restoring deep support for the arches of the feet becomes a critical focus in yoga practice. Leslie will cover essentials of foot anatomy, weight transfer and gait analysis to help transform your daily walking movements into a “yoga in motion.”

Warrior Series/Twist Don’t Break

This practice-heavy workshop strongly works the legs, opens the hips, moves the spine in all possible directions; all without putting any body weight on your hands. A key element of the Warrior Series is a reconsideration of the standard instruction to “square your hips.” We will explore how healthy rotation is well-distributed spinal movement. The same principles will also be explored in sitting and supine twists, with a particular emphasis on how to cue the breath.

Stretching the West/Better Backbends Through Breathing

This workshop will provide a solid grounding in the details of the posterior line of the body using breath-based movements and alignment strategies guaranteed to move you forward in a whole new way.
